This is the book I am reading at the moment. I started reading it just before Christmas, but put it down to read my Christmas present book as I found it quite hard going. It's set in 19th century India and is full of ancient, technical, sea-faring, pidgin-Indian-English type language which can make it quite difficult to follow as there is no glossary to explain the terms used.
