Friday 20th March 09

Today is the 40th anniversary of the publication of Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar, so to celebrate we had a Very Hungry Caterpillar day in my class. All the maths and English came from the book. This was my daughter's favourite book over 30 years ago.

    brilliant photo - it was my daughter's favourite book as well and we bought her a lovely bone china hungrey caterpillar mug for christmas which she just loves.

    My children loved that book too. In a recent cj of favourite childrens books, someone did an excellent bage on the hungry caterpillar.
